The beautiful caves of Diros is a complex of lake-caves that are hidden under the dry and wild landscape of Mani, next to the beautiful crystal clear deep blue sea. The most famous and only open to public, the Vlychada cave, is famous worldwide for the colorful stalagmites and stalactites that were formed before the rise of the sea level, hundreds of thousands years ago and give an eerie atmosphere. The exact extent of the cave is even today unknown and the visitors travel by boats a distance of about 1,600 meters and then on foot for about 300 meters until they see again sunlight. The temperature of the air inside the caves ranges from 14 to 16C while of the water about 14C. The visit of the caves lasts about 1 hour. The entrance fee is 15 euros (reduced 10 euros)
